I'm a 59-year-old LDS grandma living in Colorado. I'm basically a Libertarian except on moral issues.

There are some public health problems that the government should address: smallpox epidemics, for example.

Obesity is different. It is not a public health problem, it’s a private one.

And government regulations that seek to “make us healthier” infringe on personal liberty. Lately, government has become more concerned with fake “epidemics” like obesity. Their solution to these private problems is always more government, and less freedom.

Give me a break and let me eat what I want.
